Vintage Nike is Like Money in the Bank
What it is:
Nike began in 1971 as a manufacturer of light weight running shoes. It's "swoosh" logo has become an icon worldwide and vintage pieces of all kinds are in demand. These are collectibles that people will actually wear. Vintage does not have quite the same meaning here as with other collectibles. There are many Nike creations from the mid 1990s that are quite valuable.
What to Look For:
Nearly all Nike gear from the 1980s or earlier are worth your time. Keep a special eye out for early Air Jordan high top basket ball shoes, as well as waffle soled running shoes from the 1970s (the soles really do look like a waffle).
